Debating whether to put in dwarf lionfish, or maybe set up a coral reef tank. Newbie at this whole saltwater thing, which one is easier to maintain?

You could put both in there. Dwarf lions are reef safe. Mind you they might see small fish as lunch

Lions are fairly easy to look after as long as you can get them feeding. Coral can be as easy as you want or as difficult. There are many different species so its like comparing breeding guppies to breeding discus :*) But for the most basic soft corals you will find them undemanding and as long as you provide adequate light and decent waer changes they will be fine.

Yes this is coming late, but thanks for the info. Decided to go with "puffy" dwarf lionfish. Will take care of them, if all goes well, will add coral later.
