Has The Convict Ate The Eggs ?

hi all ,
my convict spawned on monday about 80 eggs , over the next few days the eggs where disapearing up until today when they have all gone , is this usuall for the convict to do this , i only have a few more smaller convicts in the tank. i did notice that once the eggs were laid that the male and female where looking after them but then the male was down the other end of tank with another female , he still did come and attend with the female with eggs , but as she ate them all , she still hangs around the spawn site but not as much.

they bury the eggs if they feel unsafe.

i didnt see any eggs and i had over 100 + fry at one point.

my bp and severum hd eggs not long ago, they kept acting weird, suddenly they r gone... and they still guardin the path below the rock they laiud them on, are they burried and being guarded ?

could be but i dont wanna get your hopes up cos i havent bred either of those.


id give it max 7 days before i thought theyd been eaten or were totally gone if the parents were still guarding.

If they are first time parents they probably wont get it right to begin with. My convicts have taken 4 goes before getting it right
