I'm currently using AquaPlus as the water conditioner and want to swap to something that is more cost effective.

I am considering either Seachem Prime or Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Conditioner .

Its well known that Prime is really good, but has anyone used the API Tap Water Conditioner with any success? Is it just as good as the other brands?

I'm asking this because the 500mL Prime will treat about 20,000 Litres whereas a 473mL of the API Tap Water Conditioner treats 29,000 Litres.

However, a 500mL bottle of Prime costs $35 AUD while a 473mL bottle of API Tap Water Conditioner costs only $9 AUD.

Its very obvous the API Tap Water Conditioner is very cost effective and will save a lot of money in the long run, but my question is if it is reliable or if anyone has experienced any problems with using it

ah, sorry, never used that stuff, i have API Stress Coat which is just like an aloe vera flavour dechlorinator, or something :p

I've used what I think is the same thing, just with different packaging. Yep, its good, mine used 1 drop per gallon for chlorine and 3 drops per gallon for chloramine and heavy metals, but its still a great deal less than other dechlors.
