I don't want a mirror, just a mirror paper (I'm sure it exists) I think it would make the tank look much bigger.
Anyone done this?
Where can you get mirror background from?

Would my fighter be mad thinking its another male?
Thanks

there is such a thing, but won't it scare your fish especially beta's they'll be flaring at it all day which can't be good for them

bad idea just causes your fish to be really stressed all the time theres a few vids on youtube where ppl have put small mirrors up to the tank just to get fish like apistogramma and betas to flair but there not permanant

Yes, such a backing paper does exist and can be purchased at an lfs that carries it. The kind I had came with a reflective mirror colored side and a reflective blue side. Here's the blue side so you can get an idea.

As you can see, it's pretty but having it on the tank makes it difficult to take pictures with flash.

My betta flares at his reflection in just the tank glass. If I ever put a mirror up he goes crazy and takes a long while to settle down. I can't imagine doing this all day would be good for him. The blue shiny one above might be better than plain mirrored.

Before i changed to a black one, used to look good and gave teh tank a good sence of depth :) not sutable for some fish though as people have said

My tank came with a mirrored back glass and I love it. It gives a great sense of depth. Most of the fish don't seem to even care about it, but once in a while my rosy tetras or black phantoms will show off for a moment or two. And the rummy nose tetras school back and forth along the back making the school seem twice the size.

I've never had a betta in the tank.

Beautiful tank, Andy-lee!
