--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been looking for some new lights for my 55 gallon tank, and came across a few options, the cheapest being this Odyssea or Jebo 48" PC one. The 130 W fixture is $45 with 2 lights (although not the lights I would need)
and the 260 W fixture is $89 with 4 lights (again, not the right lights).
The 130 W fixtures specs says this:
sleek low profile aluminum housing
built-in reflector
external ballast
straight pin bulb configuration
acrylic lens cover
Is external ballast a bad thing? Wouldn't it get wet from condensation and cause problems?
The 260W fixture says this:
non corrosive powder coated housing
stainless steel reflector
internal electronic ballast
built-in cooling fans for continuous ventilation
three on/off switches controlling compact light and bluemoon separately
New! 3 Separated Power Cords Version
acrylic lens cover
This one seems much safer.
Anyways, anyone heard of these and have any experience? Thanks

I used silicon to glue it back together.
Depending what company you acually purchase the bulbs from is where your light quality will come from. I didn't like the ones that came with it so I'd order diffrent ones. Good luck =)
