Has anyone had experience with Daffodil Chiclids

I recently recieved these fish as a gift and I was wondering if anyone on here has actually had these fish. They were sold as Daffodil Chiclids (On sale for $3.99!!! (they're normally like $15 around here, but apparently there was a big spawn or summat) Thanks to my Hubby for them!) and it took me a while to figure out what they were. I have a male and a female from what I can tell as their fins are veeerrrry slightly different, one has more rounded finnage and the other has long points. Any personal experience from anyone here would be great as this is my first time with chiclids. I am keeping the pair in a 30gal, do I need to get a bigger tank? Water is at 8.2 ATM but will be slowly raised to about 8.6ish, plenty of gravel and flat rocks (some are turned into 'caves') and has a few plants.

Anything will be helpful as I want to give these two lovelies a happy and healthy life!

N. brichardi or N. gracilis is a little closer to N. pulcher than N. leleupi. Try this link from the same site: http/www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/n_brichardi.php. Daffidils are one of my favorites. Be sure not to mix them with other spp. from the same genus. I had good luck with daffodils cohabitating with smaller Julidochromis. Under optimal conditions, daffodils pose no great difficulty in husbandry and will spawn readily.

Perfect example of why scientific names are important. I saw "Daffodil Cichlid" and thought Leleupi. Thanks for picking up the mistake.
