Has Anyone Got A Clown Plecostomus?

I recently bought a clown plecostomus and all he does is hide in his cave, is this normal?

Yes, it's quite normal; I've got one that's nearly 14, and I only see it about three times a year, unless I move his cave around while I'm cleaning!
