Harlequin help.... cyst?

I have a harlequin fish who has developed a lump on her chin. It started small but is growing rather large now. She doesn't seem affected by it as she is still eating and is not "rubbing" on anything either.

I have been trying to find out what it is but can't find any pictures that look like it.

I change the water regularly and all the other fish are healthy and I haven't noticed any of the other fish with any "lumps" either.

I hope she is not in any pain.

Any ideas?

I had no idea taking a photo was so difficult. She kept hiding! All the other fish wanted their photos taken and kept coming to see what I was doing with the camera!!!

Thanks for the links. I checked out the fish diseases on this forum and searched the internet before I posted this. Couldn't find any pictures of the same thing though.


was good as there were lots of pic's - it said that unless the fish was distressed and not able to eat to just leave her.... this is what I am going to do for now... and hope it doesn't get any worse. If it does I think for the safety of the other fish I will euthenaise (my husband will do it for me, I can't bare to)
