Hello Guys
I am after some hardy plants to go into my Mbuna set up tank.

I have a Vision 450 so need quite alot.

Cheers

How do you feel about Anubias? I have had good results with them in a Mbuna tank. £2.50 per plant, here are some I sold on this forum last year.. they will be same size:

I also had varied success with Thai onions, also £2.50 per plant.

Giant Vallis might work too, but I didn't have much luck with it.. if you want to try, let me know and I'll get back to you with a price :)

p&p starting from £1.50 going to £2.50 max.

The bulbs are a decent size, but I would cut off all the leaves and trim the roots for transport: if the leaves are left on, they will only become damaged and the plant will take longer to recover, in my experience.

Okay. Thanks for that.

I think I will wait to see if anyone is trimming their plants at some point.

Seems abit expensive when I want to buy in bulk but thanks anyway.

You haven't said what your budget is yet or exactly how many you want, I should be able to drop the price if you want really many. Anubias are expensive because they are slow growing, Thai onions I rarely cultivate on purpose as most people are not interested in them.

I have lots of lynpholia

Have you got any pictures?? I cannot seem to see anything on this plant on google.

Cheers

I am looking for around 20-30 plants but dont want to spend a fortune in this climate.

I've got Amazon Frogbit for sale in the classifieds section.

These may survive the Mbuna onslaught (perhaps they'll just pick at the Amazon Frogbit roots). Please research this online as others must have tried this.

Cheers. Will do abit of research.

Thinking of spending about £20 or so on plants.

Was thinking java fern and vallis might stand up to the onslaught of Mbuna.
