Hard To Read Test Kits

How do you guys look at the water tests? Some of the colors are almost the same so Its hard to read them.

I try and do all my testing in daylight.Some of the colours are so similair that I have awful difficulty telling which is which-especially nitrate.
If all else fails I bring it in to the woman next door and get her opinion

use very good bright light. hold the tube of water against the color card and shine light through the tube. I never have any trouble if I have very good lighting.

I find that reading them under regular old incandescent lighting, the colors match closer to the card than in daylight even.
