Guys,

Its there, Im amazed, my girlfriend is astounded - even the fish are looking a bit perplexed!
My tank...its just..well...perfect! Im happy with the fish, happy with the plants, the placing of the ornaments and the heater and filters. Its amazing. Im even scared of doing water changes too violently incase I put anything out of place! (Took me about 3x as long to do my weekly change yesterday!)

I was just wondering how many others out there have got their tanks totally perfect, As in not wanting to add any more fish or move anything or even touch anything! How long did it take you? Do you think it is ever likely to happen again!?

Your thoughts?

Alex

Eer never lol, always tryin to improve the look or change things around

I am still improving my tank and adding and taking things out. I'm waiting for the moment that you have expirienced. :X

er........no.......our damned loaches are into gardening in their spare time always digging stuff up we can never go more than a couple of days without having to rearrange their handiwork & replant stuff although sometimes i give up & let them have their own way... ive noticed on a couple of occasions when ive tried to plant something outside their favourite cave they will NOT have it & are determined to remove the offending plant no matter what i use/do to secure it

i knwo the feeling, my 5 gal is perfect i love it and its so simple.

its like a fleshy kinda small gravel(looks like maximized sand) with some black marbled rock sarounding a sword plant. it looks soo good(excuse my boasting)

The strange thing about it was I didn't even want the improvements! I went out to ask some advice at a new fish store I found. You know how it is. Came out with 4 Black Mollies!

But on the way out the door my girlfriend, Ms Interior Designer 2004, said "Ooooh, get those get those!" As she points to a pointy cave thing and a bit of wood shaped to look like something or other with a hole for the fish to swim through. My initial thought was....oh dear. But she got her purse out (Rare in itself) and paid for them So I thought why not, when they get in there she will probably hate them anyway.

We got them home and after about 15 mins I took an old plant out to move it to the other side of the tank and that was it....absolutely perfect! The fish love it, I have never seen new fish settle so quickly. The 4 mollies darting around in a shoal after each other around the wood looks beautiful. My 2 Gourami have snuggly settled in side by side in the cave (I swear those two are gay!) and my Angel floats around happily, occasionally flaring her colours when the swarm of Mollies comes near "her end" of the tank but she's getting used to them and they know their place.

Its perfect, a nice peaceful tank. Looks kind of like a beautiful stereotypical 18th century japanese garden (without bridges)

I guess it must just be one of those things that happens by suprise!
