hey there, i have a colony of six Haplochromis obliquidens 2 males/4 females, one of the males keeps sitting in the corner looking like he is just resting, when i put my hand near him he starts swimming around normal, any ideas what is wrong with him?

my thought is he's your subdom male and he's been beat down, you may not have seen the fighting but there are subtle little actions in a group that we never see.
take him out, he's doing no good in there and will only live a miserable life.

I agree, remove him to a seperate tank for a time whilst he heals. It could also be oxygen deprevation, or the water peramaters. Either way, place him in a sick tank for a time and feed him a higher protein diet to help boost his strength.
