Hammie The Striped Squirrel Fish!

This is my Hammie Boi! He is a Hawaiian Striped Squirrel fish! He is so handsome! LOL I have had him for about a week now and he is doing fantastic in my new SW tank!

Firstly to TFF

Can you let us know a little about your set-up please

You mention the tank is new and that you have a squirel - I hope that you have a lovely large reef tank of over 70 gallons. Most squirels live on reefs and love the ledges and caves it provides, they are like assessors, they hang upside down in caves and nooks and crannies, bless.

They are jumpers so you need a good lid but most of all they are a fish that do best in small groups.

Now, I could be very wrong but the decorations in your tank somewhat give it away, it doesn't look to me as if you have a reef tank, nor a large one - I do really hope I am wrong

So, lets hear all about your tank and I will be very happy for you to put me right

I don't have a reef but I do have a 110 Gallon FOWLR and I'm not getting many fish at all. Its a pretty big tank and he loves to swim around in the open area and behind the LR. He seems happy and is eating..very well. Right now he is only in there with two damsels that he loves to pick on (no biting, just chasing). That's why I have the tiki man, I needed something the Squirrel couldn't get into that the damsels could hide from since he is still quite small!
