lol i dunno how u guys can trust bettas with baby fish, in my experiences with bettas, baby fish are eaten before the hit the water

Eh, he can nibble a few, but I really want to work with the plakats from the F2 of this line, and I need more F1 if that's ever going to happen.

Well, the fry are a week old today. The largest are a bit over 0.2 inches long.

I did something incredibly stupid, though. The tank was filthy on Sat., and I had to get in there and clean up a bit. I unplugged the heater to take a bit of crud out of the bottom, then forgot to turn it back on! So, I woke up on Friday morning, and forund the tank at 68 degrees, lots of dead fry, and a bad case of velvet.

Adjusted the temp, there are still at least 10 or 15 fry, maybe more. They are being treated, and most will probably be okay. What a stupid mistake, won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Yup, it's true. Apparently only the strong survive in my fry tanks.

I did another stupid thing the same day, too - left the cover off of Spazz's tank. He jumped, and now is in fishy heaven. I was apparently distracted, and my poor fishies sure paid the price. It was a bummin' day for sure.

Yup, the dad of both of my spawns. It was a real downer - he was a cool fish. I felt so bad when I found him.

Days like that happen, though, I guess. Learn the lesson and suck it up it the best bet, I suppose.

Spazz that sucks, but we all have our days, I did the same thing in my mbuna tank the other day, it's in our bedroom which is in the wing that's not heated. When I noticed, the temp wasn't even registering on my thermometer whch goes all the way down to 60 I lost my clown loaches to a fierce case of ich the next day You also know the story of a certain yellow female I straight out killed, we all do it.

That is awesome though that you know now you have super strong fry Kinda the same concept of leaving Daddy in without Daddy I guess
