Halfmoon?

Okay, so I just bought a half moon betta earlier today. A beautiful purple male. One thing though, when he flares, its not a full 180 degrees. Could this just be because he is still tired or do some half moons flare like this? Laziness???

No offence but almost every post you make could be like answered by just looking at the FAQs at the top of this forum. Also, iif its not 180 degrees then chances are that its a super delta.

Edit: My betta is no longer a half moon, but a delta. Sad...

But is there a chance it could be my betta isn't flaring to its "potential"?

If its flaring and you can see like fins overlapping then yes, he can flare better

He might be a little stressed with going to a new home so don't worry too much.

If he's a HM, his fins will open up to 180 degrees, no less. Anything less but close to a HM is a Super Delta and if it ain't even close, it's a delta.
