Hairs Growing On Bog Wood

HI, i have a pice of bog wood in my tank and i keeps growing little white hairs on it like hair algae but i dosn't grow any where else so not sure what it is, any ideas?

Is it a new piece of bogwood? If so just scrub them off with something like a nail brush. They should stop growing after a month or two

No ive had it about 5-6 months (maybe more) i only started 1-2 months ago. it isnt growing in direct light.

hmm I had some which looked like cotton wool, but after a few months it stopped growing on it
