There is a 90 gallon tank for sale for $50 but the seller said it has a small hairline crack in the back and I guess it causes a little leak.

He said it can be easily repaired but I have no idea how to repair it or if it would even be worth it?

can anyone help me out here?

i really don't know how big the crack is either.

It is easy to repair if you know how. If a pane is hairline cracked it will need replacing. Simply cut out the old pane, scrape away the old silicone and then glue in a new pane. This may need to be done by a pro or experienced tank builder though if they are using the finest possible glass on the tank, so for that reason, I'd try to haggle the tank down in cost. It certainly isn't worth much because of the potential cost of repairs with a hariline crack in the glass... If the tank is 2ft tall (typical for a 90g), I certainly would not attempt the repair as a beginner unless the glass of the existing and replacement panes is at least 10mm :good: Most commonly, 8mm is used unless it's being designed for marine applications, but 6mm is also sometimes "risked"

All the best

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be worth it. I have no idea how to do any of that stuff. I just wish it wasn't cracked! :shout:
