Hair Grass

Hi everyone ,

I was thinking of doing a carpet of hair grass on a new tank , but was unsure which one's to get. I would like some really small stuff for the front of the tank blending into some slightly taller stuff towards the back of the tank . Could anyone give me some advise on this . If you could tell me the names of the ones that i would need then that would be brilliant.

Dwarf hair grass will probably be your best bet for the front. That being said, I think it still grows to about 4".

I think Eleocharis parvula is the dwarf species, the medium size species is Eleocharis acicularis and the large one is Eleocharis vivipara. There are loads of species of hairgrass, so depending from where you are buying them they could be different.
