Hair Algae

i heard that cherry red shrimps and amano shrimps eat hair algae, but what type of plant has that kind of algae?

Algae doesn't grow on specific plants . If you don't have hair algae, then thats a good thing . Also, cherry shrimp don't tend to eat algae much compared to amano shrimp .

I have some hair algae in my tank, they grow on the drift wood and my anubias Barteri Nana. Very iritating algae as not much licing thing eat it. I normally remove it mechanically.
