well i am double dosing as of about a week and all that's happened is my hair algae is like pearling. Idk about triple dosing as the bottle clearly states do not overdose, has anyone done it?

I just followed the normal dosing and the hair algae just went and died off and seemed to vanish, could have rotted off could have been had by shrimp or BN, I dunno. I'd just go with the dosing as recommended on the bottle each day and wait it out. I think the algae may be dieing rather than pearling.

Excel is great, but it's not great with Rams, Snails, Vals, and Riccia. I would be very careful of overdosing with such species. Excel is a must as far as I am concerned. Tha rams I have handle it fine, but I have lost other rams despite having good water quality for that particular fish. I am a riccia failure, excel of no excel...lol. Dose it heavily upon your water change, then dose only a little daily thereafter. That's my amatuerish advice on the subject.
