I have been using a life-glo2 (6700K) on my 20 gallon long planted tank for a while now with pretty good results (but not GREAT)...i have a 10 gallon planted I am starting up and was looking at the bulbs and noticed a hagen flora-glo (2700K) that says it is ideal for plants. Now, i know that the life glo2 gives me a whiter light (close to noon-time lighting) and was wondering what negatives I would have by choosing the 2700K (which is supposedly ideal for plants) bulb instead of the 6700K bulb I am using now

even though 2700K light is a bad color it doesnt mean that its the wrong spectrum..

personaly I would add the flora-glo to current lights not only use it as the yellow tint is not nice.

I'm not a big fan of hagen as the price of hagen products in South Africa is almost 10 times more that most others.

the denneral tubes we're using are 3300. they are quite yellow/orange - but the plants love them
