Hagen Co2 Natural Plant System?

I was just wondering about the basics of the Hagen CO2 Natural Plant System, seen as its quite cheap from my lfs i think i may give it a try on my 15g (US), anyone have any experience with this 'kit'?

Read the pinned article on carbon dioxide it gives recipes for making your own DIY CO2 mix, the supplied satchets with the hagen system are virtually worthless as the hardly ever generate enough CO2, for a couple of quid you can have 6 months supply, lots of us here, use, or have used them with good success.

I have one of these. It's useful for the ladder mostly, but the canister and pipe are useful too. The mix is totally useless. The packs i got with mine were all out of date and gave off very little CO2. Since the first attempt i have been mixing my own yeast/sugar.

I'd recommend getting the ladder, which might be available separately. The canister you could just use a squash bottle instead. Up to you, the canister does look better than a bottle.
