That the Pictus cat would eat my guppy... The size of my guppy it ate was pretty big.. Almost the same size as the cat... Im now thinking we need to set up a smaller tank for the pictus cat so he doesnt munch on more fish!

Pictus are predatory catfish, they grow to a reasonable size, why get something smaller for it, unfortunately it sounds like you need to rehome it.
Catfish have deceptively large mouths, either find fish to go with the pictus or rehome and have a nice community

I didnt realize they were predatory... When we got the fish they didnt tell us they would munch on the guppies.. In fact they put them in the same bag.. So I figured it was all ok!

Yes we will rehome him.

Thats the trouble with some LFS, they would rather make the sale than tell you what is best.
Pictus are lovely looking cats, but are still catfish, at least with my cats there are no doubts, they are evil and will only tolerate much bigger fish in with them

Steve :)

Thanks! I called the store and they were able to take the fish back.. :) he was shocked to still have seen the end fin tail sticking out of his mouth... He is going to have a stomach full for a while now lol
