gutted...left work early especially

Hi,

I'm absolutely gutted. My tank finished cycling today Nitrites 0 at last!!!!!!!

I went to a maidenhead aquatics on the way home...the botia striata they said they had when I phoned wasn't a striata.

They only had one male dwarf gourami (lots of females) and on the good side, he said that he wouldn't buy it...it was rather dull. I suppose that is good, cos I didn't know it was dull cos I didn't have any other males to compare it with.

No Cardinals. No metae cory. They had Pandas but I didnt get them cos they just seem to die. The guppies they had were not looking so good.

So I dragged myself away before I bought a fish I didn't really want. That was tough.

My boyfriend said he would go for me to our LFS tomorrow. They're really good there, and I trust him. He's going to go at the end of the day so that I can acclimatise the fish when I get home from work.

isnt it the females that are dull in color with the males being rather bright in comarison?



its unusual for lfs to actualy carry females.... espsh in such a great number

did the same with my first fish! left work early went to lfs only to find they had sold the fish had reserved a few days before! not happy they did give me a discount on my next purchase but that wasn't the point they sold my fish!
