for guppies is a breeder net better or a floating guppy tank better?
i no most of uz will say they are stressful for the fish thats the only way i can seperate the big guys from the lil ones.

Most floating net breeding traps are designed to be used in a separate breeding tank, where the female gives birth and the fry swim through into the tank. A breeding trap will also work fine to keep the fish for a few months.

In the past I have used both, a net seems kinder to the mother but I have had young get stuck in between the frame and net.
more succes with traps.
but I am much happier leaving them to get on with it in the tank, well planted for hiding, some will get eaten but I see this of natures way of keeping the population down.
With the amount of young they can have and often trying to save them all would only mean overstocking.
