Hi all, im new to guppys and i was wondering if any of you have advice on how to breed them and general info about them.

Guppies are really easy to breed, the only rule of thumb is that you have two females to one male so the females do not get harrassed so much by the males. You can pretty much leave them to it and before long you will have babies.

Hey Shelby, I've been breeding guppies for awhile now and its lots of fun. I started out with 2 males and 4 females and ended with over 200 guppies. Of course i had to get a bigger tank to support all those guppies. A friend of mine told me, when I first started, to use a breeding net for the fry. but i also found it easy just to have lots of plants and the net wont be needed. Although some of the fry do get eaten, most of them survive. Guppies usually give birth every 28 days or so. Good luck with your guppies!
