guppys with gouramis

i was wondering if anyone knows if guppys can go with my gouramis?

I think so, but they cant go with bettas, which i understand u wanted to keep with the gouramis?

SO guppies are a probably a bad idea

yeh i thought about it alot and ive got a 6 gal tank for my betta so its fine. cuz i relly want guppys agen with my gouramis

dwarf gouramis should be fine with your betta as long as he isn't too aggressive.. I've kept in a community tank with no problems what so ever in the past. just my opinion

I have a juvenile red honey gourami in my tank that contains tons of guppies and they both get along great. The gourami usually spends his time examining his "territory" in the corner. I had a female pearl gourami, but she was a little shy with the other fish.

Yes guppies can live with Gouramis. However please pick one of the less aggressive species of gourami. I have a pair of pearl gouramis with 4 guppies in a 7 gallon and there has been no flare ups or fin nipping. To be safe put the guppies in first then add the gouramis ther will be less chance of anything happening if you introduce the big fish last. HTH

I have 2 Dwarf Gouramis with 6 guppies and 3 platys in a 40 gal. tank, and they seem to get along fine. In fact, one of my platys lseems to "hang out" with one of the gouramis regularly. I have not seen any tail nipping, although I suspect that the gouramis are responsible for the disappearance of about 30 newborn guppy fry .

This week I added in one of my bettas to see what would happen. I chose the most peaceful one, a 6 month old red male, and to my shock there has been absolutely no problem.

Have a large pearl, large 3 spot and large opaline with MANY guppies all ages, never seen a problem (45 gal tall tank)

well i took some ppls advice and got some guppys. and there have been no problems wat so eva. and im planning to get more today

god no! i got a new tank..........i just need to edit y profile..........right now in my 12 gal i got 10 neons and the three gups and one glo light tetra
