Please can you help me 70ltr tank, zebra danio`s ok as are glowlight tetra`s, but one male guppy is not quite right wants to lay on the gravel or in the weeds not doing much every now and then acts quite normal but not for long befor he rests again, had him about 4 months not eating either, can you help.

What are your water parameters?
What other fish are in there? Just the Glowlights and Neons?

Anastasia, thanks for calling,my tank is 30x16x12 holds 70ltrs is planted in accordance with guidlines of compatability between fish and plants it holds 5 zebra danio`s and eight glowlight tetra`s plus now only 2 male guppies one of wich is not well,these fish have been in this tank together since Nov 04, as stated 10 to15% water changes every 1 to 2 weeks ph is around 8 gh 10 nitrite is around 0.03mg/ ltr. I also do anti stress 10ml ,.plant feed5ml every week thanks John.

do you mean 10 nitrAte? if it's ten nitrite then your fish should be dead !!!


Nevermind, mis read.

You do have nitrites, which is bad for your fish... those could be the problem, just do several water changes and keep it as close to 0.5 as possible

Ah...2 male Guppies. One is probably picking on the other. I'd suggest getting a few female Guppies, but then you may have lots of fry. If you do decide to get females, the ratio should be 2-3 females per male.

Oh, and Mlee, from what I read, his hardness is 10, and Nitrite is .3
