hi everyone a bit of help please how long do u think it will be intill my guppy gives birth i thought she was going to but not so sure now, she has been sitting at the bottom not moving much the male guppys keep chasing her.
i have but her in the breeding tank but i dont know if to keep her in that or to let her out if she still has a while to go any help would be great to how long she has left thanks.

I think she has at least 2 more weeks, you shouldn't use her gravid spot as a indicator if you know what I mean. When her belly looks like a squarish size, thats when she is closer to giving birth.

You do have some time. The best way to do this is to set up a separate tank, like a 10g, and just before she's ready to drop, put the mom in there. When she delivers, then scoop her out and put her back in the main tank. Or just leave everybody in the main tank and let the fry fend for themselves. Some will get snacked, but unless you're going to breed guppies this really is the best way to keep from getting overrun.

Birthing traps like the one you have are really stressful for the fish.
