hi,
i am very new to this .
i have had a tropical tank for about 2 months now and i have hundreds of questions. i will start with the one that is puzzling me the most.where has my male guppy gone?!!!. i have- 3 mollies-1 catfish-1 plec-1 albino shark-2 clown fish-2 plattys-2 frogs/toads? and 2 female +1 male guppy ,and he has dissapeared!!- no evidence -no sickness gone!! what happend-the females have both had babies-is it the C.S.A??

Hi Giddykipper and a warm to TFF,

Your fish may have disappeared for several reasons, the most likely being either it's been bullied to the point where it's now scared to come out at all, or its dead and buried in the gravel or ornaments somewhere or totally decomposed or eaten.

Have you removed everything from the tank to look for it?

My first feeling is that sharks and guppies don't go very well together, so it may well have been harrassed to death, but I may be wrong.

i agree with backtotropical, move about all your things see if the poor thing is underneath/hiding in them.
if you do find him hiding in a certain spot, watch him for a while see if he seems ok..

if not i would think about rehoming either the guppy or the shark. you dont want the guppy to suffer
