Hey everyone. One of my guppies has starting getting what looks like white spot, the ridge of his back is spotty and some on his side and quite a few on his tail, he and all his tank buddies have been transferred to my bigger tank as my old one was getting a bit overcrowded. There has been a temp change of around 5degrees which i understand isnt good. no change in all the levels though and no change in food. its the 2nd day of this spot so i would like to nip it in the bud if poss. I have 7guppies all male, a pair of marble mollies, 11 neon tetras, 2 red claw crabs and a swordtail. ph stays around 7-7.5 temp at the moment is 27 c. the tank is 38" wide by 14" deep by 18" tall. if someone could tell me what litre that is that would be great. thanks. all help appreciated.

How many gallons is the tank.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

If the temp shoots up fast you always need to keep a look out for whitespot, swim bladder, and columnaris.

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt. The spots will be the size of a grain of salt.

Raise temp to 30.
Increase aeration with the high temp and med.
Remove black carbon from filter if you use it.
Make sure you can use the full dose of whitespot med with the fish you keep. As sometimes you have to half dose with neon tetra.
You will need to remove the inverts from the tank.
