I recently bought a new female on Saturday and she had fry as soon as I let her loose in the tank and now she has white splothes on her tail which I am thinkning are fungus. Is there any way to treat this without medications since I can't get any rigth now. And if I can't treat this should I get rid of her so the rest of the fish don't get it?? Please help

Thanks

Austin

Unfortunately, there isn't really any way to get rid of the infection. You can try adding salt, lowering the temperature, and increasing the airation.

However, I would still gry to get meds ASAP since columnaris is contagious. Once you get antibiotics, increasing the temperature will make them more effective.
