Guppy With Bad Tail Fin

I've got a regular guppy that over the past two weeks or so has had his tail fraying a bit. guessing its fin rot... but there are no sings of fungus or anything on the tears of the fin. It does not appear to be split all the way to the base. Just along the tip of the fin it seems to be split/.

been trying to get a pic for the last half hour or so, but havent turned up any good ones... so thats out of the question for now.

What ive done so far is upped water changes to roughly 30ish% twice a week and been trying to feed a healhy balance of fresh/flake food.

question is, is there anything else i can do without adding meds? I dont have a spare tank to treat him in... All other inhabitants look very healthy and seem content.

Could he have possibly got his tail stuck in the filter, or on any ornaments

hmm... alright. so just keep it up and he should come around then?
