Guppy Question

Hi,

I've just been given a guppy from a friend that had it in her tank with a tiger barb.

It's tail is a mess, as in nearly non existant.

Question is will this grow back at all???

If the damage was done by the barb nipping at it, it will grow back, however if the tail has something like finrot you will need an anti-finrot med to cure this .

Yeah as far as I am aware it was the barb. She also has angel fish in there aswell.

Clean water is the key to healing.

I had a young guppy who got half its tail nipped clean off about 3 weeks ago. A week later it had almost healed up; a fortnight later you couldn't see that anything had happened. Don't expect it to happen quite that quickly with an older fish, but there is a good chance.
