ok, ive come across something that is stated that this persons guppy fry have been sexed at just 3 weeks of age due to 10% water changes every day, loads of live food but im slightly not believing a word of it, ive bred gups for years and never have had fish mature at this point.
what do you reckon to it?

You can increase metabolism of a fish by warming the water and feeding it more. The water changes I assume would be to keep up with the increased feedings, and therefore increased waste. Even with the increased metabolism, I don't think the sex can be assured without more time. I think this individual will be surprised when he sees his virgin female tank loaded with fry.

yeah i could understand his statement of the water changes and feeding and its common practical in experienced breeders but its just a weird thing to say at 3 weeks ive been able to sex them at 4 weeks but never that early because of those factors, experience has been the main part of my sexing methods (should i have said that? WHOOPS!!!!!)

With good care you can start to get colour showing in males from 4 weeks at the fastest I've seen, that why i state that on average 4-6 weeks to start to see males developing.

With Moscow blue's though u can almost guess which are going to be males form 2-3 weeks just but the dark colouration.

Yes temp will also affect the speed of them maturing but you have to raise it a lot to get it down to 3 weeks
