Recently I brought home a goldfish who I had a set up for. Shortly after I brought home a fancy guppy (female) in hopes of having a friend for the goldfish and then later adding more guppies. Sadly the goldfish died a week later. Well recently I brought home some more guppies so that the one I had wouldn't be lonely. While adding them today I noticed that my female had sort of flat/ scaleless looking patches on her body near her fins. She doesn't seem to be less active but I want to treat it before something bad happens (well something worse...) I've looked all over for any clues of what it could be and a few things seem to fit but I want to be sure. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be? Could it be something she got from the goldfish?
Also would it be best to treat all of the fish because I'm foolish and didn't catch it before I added them? :/
-Thank you very much in advance

Is there any way you could post a picture??? :????:

Where exactly on her body? As guppies have lots of fins.
Does it seem like there is fungus at all?
Does the spot look red?

Did you ever see your goldfish try to peck at her?

Also for future notes, guppies and goldfish are not a good combination. Firstly because goldfish are coldwater and guppies are tropical. Secondly goldfish once bigger will try to eat anything they can fit in their mouths, which means your guppy may have become food. Also the goldfish may have a problem with smaller fish getting stuck in its mouth if it tried to eat it. So just a little note to keep in mind when combining goldfish with another smaller fish. :fish:

Thank you for responding
I do not have a functioning camera at the time being otherwise I would have taken some last night.
I asked at the pet store today and they really didn't seem to know much...
It is on the sides near the pectoral fins and it isn't a red spot. I believe it may be a fungus, it is white like and not fuffly ( or to me it doesn't look fluffy). The not fluffy part is what throws me off because all I've read is that it fluffy if its a fungus...
I never noticed the goldfish nipping but he could have when I wasn't around ( he was more wary of her than anything).
Thank you for making me aware of that! I didn't know. Funny thing is I believe the goldfish was smaller than Ms guppy :X

Do you see her flicking or swimming weirdly?
Do you see her trying to rub on anything?
Does she interact with the other fish?
Does she seem skinnier then normal?
