okay my female guppy has been in a tank with a male for 29 days and im almost 100% sure that i bought her pregnant from the lfs but anyways its been 29 days and shes big huge even ready to blow and her gravid spot is big and pinkish even with the light on but she hasnt had any fry yet so what do you think how long or maybe what should i do

If she is indeed pregnant as it sounds, then her fry should be coming at any time. Usually the due date is about 28-29 days, but I have had times at which it was longer with my fish, and no harm was done. However, if you want to keep any of the fry, I would suggest making sure that there are at least plenty of hiding places in her aquarium, as she will eat the fry if she gets a chance.

so do you think or what are the chances the babies will come today

How does that old adage go, " a watched kettle never boils...?" Well my adage goes, " a constantly watched female gup never gives birth.."

I used to endlessly watch my females to see them give birth. It was only at night or when I got busy doing something else that lo and behold,...FRY!!

My advice, if it's safe for Mom and babes, just don't worry for a day or two, go do something else for a while, when you come back, you'll have fry. Believe me I am overwhelmed with babies.. :S It's so bad I think I am going to announce a fry giveaway soon... :-(

Man times I've witness the whole act right in broad daylight. Maybe its just my females, but I've seen all them give birth infront of me. It's a great site to see, atleast when she's having them in a breeder net and the babies are protected :D
If your not sure when she'll have them and dont want to spend all night watching for them, make sure to have bushy plants at the top and bottom for the fry to run to( live moss is pefect for this) b/c many fish would love some delacies. I find most of fry will swim to the bottom after being born, but then will eventually come to the top of the tank so search your tank thoroughly
