So, I have this female guppy about to drop some fry, but she was being chased by the males in the tank. I put her in a breeding tank with a moss ball, and covered the tank with a cloth to block light, and its been half an hour or so, but she hasn't dropped. What am I doing wrong? I could see the fry's eyes and the birthing tube.

It can take time, just be patient.

Thank you. I just went down to check on Pearl (That's the pregnant guppy's name) and I saw this bright white thing near her gravid spot. Is this a fry? Some of my guppies have had fry before, and I can't recall seeing this.

I haven't ever kept guppy, so not to sure...
I normally don't see my platies or swordtails giving birth, or i just leave them and check later to see if they've finished.
Hopefully someone else can answer this for you. :)

Can you post a current picture of Pearl? Maybe she isn`t as ready as you think.

Pearl wasn't having babies. I put her back into the tank weeks ago.
