How long has she been in the trap already? Stress can cause her to give birth. I've had a lot of pregnant guppies remain in the trap all day and be just fine. I never keep them in a trap longer than one day. I let them out at night, and if they are still giving birth the next day, I will put them back in. I've had one fish give birth over the course of a week. Some give birth to all their babies within an hour. So don't worry if it seems to be taking long. And don't be overly concerned about stress. Mine have done just fine. I wouldn't recommend keeping her in a trap for days on end though like some suggest. I think that's TOO MUCH stress. let her out over night and check on her the next day. If, however, you see she's obviously still giving birth you can leave her in there. She'll appreciate it.
Congrats and good luck!
As for the fry, you can put them in a seperate fry tank or bunch several plants, real or fake doesn't matter, in a corner of your tank, preferrably the side your heater is on. They will hide well in the plants and the bigger fish won't be able to swim through all the plants to eat them.
