Sometimes when my guppies have babaies I notice one or two "egg" like balls in the breeding tank.
I'm not sure what they are, but I think they are undeveloped fry in their earliest stage as an egg still.
Anyone ever see this, and if so, do you know what it is?
Is it a sick guppy, she's been with me for over a year though.
lemme know what ya think.

ive heard about this before yes it is most likely a undevloped egg. When an animal has that big a batch of young ones it's not uncommon to have a few not brought to term thats y there r so many. and i dont think it is sick so good luck with the fry have fun

I've seen it first hand when I first started out with my guppies. The first one to give birth had 9 fry, 2 yellowy-looking sac things, and one half-developed fry IN a yellow sac thing, so I think it's fairly safe to say that that's all it is.

Thats good to hear others have seen this.
I was pretty sure it was normal, or at least non life threatening for her.
Almost every batch of fry she has, theres at least 2 or more of those egg/sac like balls.
She's gonna be having a few more members added to her HUGE family very soon, she's between the size of a dime and penny atm.

it's completely normal. it's just like in duck eggs, not all of the ducks (in ur case fish) develop.
