Guppy Fry

I have MANY MANY guppy fry in my 10 gal quar/growout tank....sooo cute

N E Ways.....there are like about 5 different colour batches even though there are only 2 batches (drops) of fry. so my question is.....could the mother/s have been impregnated by different male fish and she gave birth to 1/2 brothers/sisters at the same time?

Its interesting watching them grow. I notice more new colours each day on the babies!!!

Most likely your seeing the two parents genes crossed together, hence you get different colours and patterns and then some fry that turn out exactely like mom and dad. But i wouldn't doubt that a female can hold two males sperm at once.

I read in some other forums/articles before that a batch of fry can come from 2 different males...
