Last night i fed my fry on bloodworm,i chopped some up,but left some whole ones, has there's bigger juvi's in there also...

Big mistake, this morning i found 4 guppy juvi's with bloodworm sticking out their mouths,1 guppy had died looks like she choked on it !!

3 others i managed to catch them and by holding the bloodworm, eased it out their mouths, they appear ok,but only time will tell.

Oh dear, i thought they would never manage to choke?!

Perhaps the worms expanded (osmosis?) after being in the tank? Perhaps not, just a thought.

I was planning to feed mine bloodworm, i guess ill be extra cautious. Thanks for the warning anyhow.
RIP fishy!

geeze harlequins i think you have run into some bad luck recently hum i have never herd this or have this happen to me.werid

Thanks guys..

Yes i couldn't believe it also,i shouldve took a pic of them, gawd knows how i managed to get the bloodworm back out,i just got hold of the end sticking out, they wiggled which moved it,and i kept hold until the bw came out,

The biggest fry did look a bit strange for a while,as her mouth was left open, but she seems fine now,and none of the 3 have died...

I had the same happen to me. I didn't think there would be any problems but I'll learn not to do that again!!
