I have a guppy that has been pregnant for a while (few weeks now) she was massive, so I thought she was about to drop and transferred her to a separate tank.

She was fine until i went down to check her just now and shes floating prety much on the bottom. Every now and tehn she'll give a little shudder and move an inch or two, but she's hardly managing at all.

Is there anything that I can try to help her?

If not, whats the best way to euthanise her?

please help, its the first time i've had pregnant fish and its all going wrong

I'll test agin now but i checked a few hours ago and it was Ammonia 0, Nitrates 0, nitrites 0 and pH 7.6. temp 26. Same as the tank main tank

I have tested the water again. But its doesnt matter as she is dead.

Another guppy in the main tank is also pregnant so i hope she will be ok.

I cut her open but tbh i cant see any fry, certainly none that are alive or look anywhere near alive. I dont know whats happened to her then. The other guppy in the main tank looks similar, not as big but acting the same way (tucked up over teh top of the filter, not moving much).

I'll load some pics of before she popped off, anyuse posting pics of what i found after?

I dont know if she had a disease. I assumed she was pregnant going by the threads about how to tell if your guppy is pregnant, and how to tell when they'll drop.

She was very big, had gone very box like. All I could see was what appeared to be 4-5 very unformed fry, which is weird considering the size she was

Do you think I should move the other 'prgnant' guppy in case it is a disease?
