my female guppy is as plump as she will probly get and the gravid patch is orange with about 3-5 black dots. its been a while since she first started to get more plump and there is absolutly no sign of fry in the tank. i do have 2 tiger barbs which would probly eat them but there is so many plants in the tank most of the time i cant see them.

now what im wondering is did she drop? if so are the fry so small right now i cant see them? or did my tiger barbs probly eat them?

and if she didnt drop how come the gravid patch is orange not black?

Pregnancy is about four months generally. Tiger Barbs will eat the fry, yes. If there are some plants, you have a chance of some of the fry hiding out in the plants. The gravid spot always exists. It just darkens and becomes more pronounced in pregnant fish. It's possible that she has had a batch of fry already and they were eaten. Another batch will come along. It's nothing to worry about.

What I would worry about is keeping those Tiger Barbs with true community fish. Tiger Barbs are semi-aggressive fish despite what PetCo's signs read. They should be kept with larger fish or semi-aggressive fish as well.
