Guppy Chasing Platy

Just wondering, is my male guppy chasing my female platy because shes about to drop or because hes trying to get her pregnant? (male platy chasing her here and there too)

guppies will try to mate with anything thats their thing lol..as for the male platy trying to mate with her its becasue he wants to be the first one to mate with the female when she has babies
