Ok so one of my guppies is finally pregnant: here she is:

But im going on holiday tomorow!, what should i do, i have a breeding net and the tank isnt heavily planted at all so no babies will survive if i just let her give birth, i have holiday block so should i chip off a piece of that and leave it in the breeder with her??? HELP PLZ!!!

I'm by far not an expert but looking at that guppy she's got a ways to go until she drops fry. She hasn't squared off or anything yet so I think you'd be ok if you were going away for the weekend as she looks to have a few weeks yet.

Im going away for a week, but can anyone else more experienced, no offence but i want your opinion to be seconded Thx anyway

NP I'd check in the livebearer section they have links at the top with what the fish look like when they're about to pop out fry. Basically the guppies look the same as the mollies (as far as when they're gonna give birth) and i know they got a post in livebearers that shows the pictures of how they looked squared off and such when about to drop fry. Don't blame ya though for looking for second opinions I'm sure the experts will post or ya.

She a little beauty.
I agree post in the livebearer section.
Good Luck.

Actually i have the same color variation that you have and my female had a small gravid spot and she only looked half fat and then when I looked in my tank last night she had given birth!?!?? I think with this color variation it was very hard for me to see if it was gravid becuase it blended with the "insides" of it.

P.S. save my eggs by clicking them!!!

She is nowhere near due to drop.
Another 2 weeks at least. Dont worry about it until you get back, if you put her in a breeding trap for more than a few days she'll get stressed out and probably abort anyway.
When she is ready to drop her body will change shape and she will look almost squareish at the back and very very plump from above

(I've bred guppys and platys before)

Edit: Wait, Chrs, why did you bump and old topic?
