Hi, last night my Guppy had babies, when I found them there were only 5 I don't know if thats all she had or if maybe she ate some or some may have gone up and been eaten by the other guppy I had in the other half of the breed trap. Anyhow She still had a dark spot but from what I could tell it was just hollow space where the babies had been, this morning I let her out of the breed trap but I just looked at her now and it looks like more babies have moved down into what last night looked like hollow space, could she still have more babies now or will the next lot be born in a months time? I hope that makes sence.

Sometimes Guppies will have a few, then continue to have some fry over the next week, that's probably what happened with your's. I would recommend you don't put her back in the Breeder trap though, as those things can really stress a pregnant female out. Is your tank planted? If it is, chances are some fry will survive anyway. :)

Congrats on the babies you have already! :D

Thanks for the advice, she certainly looks like shes ready to pop again any moment.

Im really glad someone posted about this, as i am in the same situation..

I have 5 pregnant guppies, all at different stages of pregnancy, but a few days ago i noticed one of mine ready to bust, and when i got up the next day, i found 2 fry swimming around the tank :D i put them in the breeding net, on there own, but the pregnant female still looks very fat, and ready to have some more, so im sure they will be popping out over the next few days.... :D

I am not putting any of my pregnant females into the breeding net, as this can stress them out, so i hear, i will just let nature take its course in my tank, and any fry that i see, i will put them into the net for safe keeping :D

Good Luck

Claire x :*
