Guppy Acting Strange

hi i just bought a 12 gl tank it has cycled for 2 weeks and just yesterday i added some guppies but one of them is acting strange cos it only swims at the surface and if i leave the room for ten mins i come back in and it looks dead but i tap the glass and it starts swimming again bu tonly at the surface and in one corner plz help thx

do you test your water?
if yes what are the reading?
the tank might not be fully cycled in 2 weeks time...
i think the best thing to do now is just do a water change hope that the condition of the fish improves

I agree with Gytas; a big water change (warm, dechlorinated water, of course) is always the first thing you should do before anything else.

How did you cycle the tank?

You really shouldn't tap on the glass; it's very stressful for fish; like someone setting off a shotgun right next to your ear!

2 weeks doesn't mean the tank is cycled. At this point you are cycling the tank while stocked. Just keep checking the water and do changes as often as you can. The best medicine for almost all situations is "water changes".
