Guppies Together?

is it ok to put different types of guppies together in the same tank. will they all get on together etc...?

well i have 5 guppies in my tank. 3 males and 2 females and it's totally against the supposed ratio of 3 to 1 male.... but they get along fine! in fact i believe they play in the bubbles together

yeah should be fine.. they will interbreed though

Guaranteed interbreeding, they should get along fine if you keep the ratio.

No sorry i didnt explain myself properly.

I wanted all males, not interested in breedeing yet till i get a bigger tank and have somewhere to put the fry.

I meant different types of male guppies. At the moment i have blue and yellow neon guppies but have seen some nice fancy ones in my LFS. I meant will they all be ok together, in my LFS they only ever have the same type of guppy in the same tank.

Is a guppy just a guppy? And the colours dont mean anything?

A guppy is just a guppy- colours don't mean anything. They're all poecilia reticulata. If the ones in the lfs all look the same it is probably because they are siblings.

I should add that some of them do have the odd endler ancestor- but that makes no difference.
