I have 4 guppies one is a lot larger and is bent in the midlle but has never had any problem but I woke this morning to find her tail looking as though it had been stretched on one section, her tail still looks fine other than this long bit its about 1in long and 5mm wide. She does get chased alot by the 2 male guppies and occassionally the other female, although they seem to be leaving her alone today(first time ever). I also have 2 long finned danio and 2 borneo sucker fish(great fish) they are in a 3 ft tank. Any suggestions on what it is? Thank you

Sounds like old age, a poor diet could also be a factor.

i had a similar problem with a few of my guppies as they grew older there spine became more and more bent... ive been told its a problem that can come about from inbreeding :( maybe the tail has ripped through uneven growth caused my the deformity .

I had a golden guppy that had its tail bent like a "s" shape when it was born....... -_-
